Verification & Information

Verification & Information

Confirm a degree, marksheet or certificate issued by Annamalai — usually within three working days.

What the university verifies

Employers, universities and embassies routinely ask Annamalai to confirm that a person holds the degree they claim. The records office answers those requests in writing, on university letterhead, and signs every reply — a verbal confirmation over the telephone is not given, and an email from an individual member of staff is not a verification.

We confirm the award and the year it was conferred, the programme and division, the roll number, and the dates of study. We do not disclose personal contact details, disciplinary records, financial information, or the marks obtained in individual papers.

How a request works

Step 01

Submit the request

Send the completed request form to verify@annamalaiuniversityedu.org, with the candidate's signed consent attached.

Step 02

Pay the fee

₹300 per candidate; ₹1,000 for embassy or apostille requests. A payment link is sent on acknowledgement.

Step 03

Records check

The records office traces the award in the register and compares it with the details supplied.

Step 04

Written reply

A signed letter is sent to the requesting organisation by email, with a hard copy on request.

Requests we cannot accept

Verification is not given by telephone. A third party must attach the candidate's signed consent — without it, the request is returned unopened. Requests that do not quote a roll number are also returned, because names alone are not unique in a register that goes back to 1928.

The records office answers verification queries on working days, 10 am to 5 pm.
