Revaluation and photocopies

A student may apply for a photocopy of any answer script within 21 days of the result, and for revaluation within 30 days. Both applications are made at the examination cell or through the student portal, and neither requires the intervention of the subject teacher.

Revaluation is carried out by a second examiner who does not know the identity of the candidate or the marks awarded by the first. If the revised total differs by more than 10 per cent of the maximum mark, the script is referred to a third examiner and the higher of the two consistent totals is recorded.

▪

Photocopy of an answer script: ₹400 per script.

▪

Revaluation: ₹600 per paper.

▪

Revaluation results are declared within 45 days of the last date for application.

▪

A change of result is notified to the faculty and reflected in the consolidated marksheet.

Examination FAQs

What happens if I miss a paper?

+

You may appear in the backlog examination held with the next regular examination. If the absence was on medical grounds, submit a certificate from a registered practitioner within seven days of the missed paper; the Dean may then treat the absence as authorised and record no mark for that paper.

Can I carry a calculator into the hall?

+

Only a non-programmable calculator, and only where the time-table marks the paper as calculator-permitted. Programmable calculators, smart watches and mobile phones are prohibited in every examination, including in the corridor outside the hall.

How is the internal assessment calculated?

+

Two internal tests worth 10 per cent each, and 10 per cent for assignments, laboratory records or field reports. A student who misses an internal test may take a make-up test only with the written approval of the Head of Department.

Is there a separate re-examination for a failed paper?

+

No. Backlog examinations are held alongside the next regular examination, and a student may attempt a failed paper up to four times within twice the duration of the programme. After that, re-admission is required.

Questions about a specific paper, result or certificate are answered by the examination cell.
