Ten faculties

Annamalai's academic work is organised into ten faculties, each headed by a Dean and served by one or more departments. Every faculty runs its own Board of Studies, which designs the syllabus and recommends examiners to the Academic Council.

Civil, mechanical, electrical, computer science and electronics, with a common first year.

Science

Physics, chemistry, mathematics, botany, zoology and biotechnology, taught with a strong laboratory component.

Management Studies

BBA, MBA and a doctoral programme, with a compulsory summer internship in the first year.

Pharmacy

B.Pharm, M.Pharm in pharmaceutics and pharmacology, and a Pharm.D programme.

Law

Five-year integrated BA LLB, LLB for graduates, and an LLM in constitutional law.

Education

B.Ed, M.Ed, and diploma programmes for in-service teachers, run with forty partner schools.

Nursing

B.Sc Nursing, GNM, and postgraduate programmes in community and psychiatric nursing.

Agriculture

B.Sc Agriculture and horticulture programmes, with a 40-acre teaching farm attached.

English, Hindi, history, economics, political science, sociology, psychology and Sanskrit.

B.Com, M.Com, and professional programmes in accounting and taxation.
